Idaho@Play is a state wide initiative which brings AmeriCorps members and community volunteers together to promote play as a way to combat childhood obesity. This year's projects include a cardboard box build-a-thon, an elementary school playground makeover and scavenger hunts. First Lady Lori Otter will kick-off celebrations on May 7, 2012 at the Boys & Girls Club in Garden City.

GREAT NEWS!  The Sherman Elementary Playground Makeover has been selected as one of the top 100 finalists (from over 3000 submissions nation-wide)! We need you to rally behind our Cause, cast your vote and help us earn a $25,000 grant.

The voting phase is open from April 27 – May 17 and any Facebook user is eligible to vote up to 10 times per day for our Cause. The 40 Causes with the most votes will be announced on May 22 and will be awarded $25,000 each.   With your help, we can seize this opportunity to create a great playground for Sherman students.
